General Information and Budget
The Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA) offers grants for the participation of students in the 24th International Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA2026). The objective of AIxIA students support is to encourage students interested in subjects related to Artificial Intelligence to become active members of the AIxIA community
Policy and Coverage: Please note that these grants are intended to cover 400 € of the registration fee. The grant will be awarded in the form of a discount code, which must be applied by the recipient during the registration process to obtain the discount.
Requirements
To apply, the candidates should satisfy the following requirements:
- be enrolled in a Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. program or be recently (at most 1 year) graduated from a Bachelor or Master program;
- be a member of AIxIA for (the second half of) 2026;
- have good English skills.
Application
Applications must be sent via this Form by July 5th, 2026. The application must include the following information:
- Name, Surname, email address, affiliation.
- Status of the candidate (i.e., student/recently graduated).
- A letter from a researcher or professor including an assessment of the current status.
- A one-page (at most 500 words) curriculum vitae of the candidate (PDF). Bachelor and Master students must include the average mark. Recently graduated students must include the graduation date and graduation mark.
Evaluation
The applications will be evaluated by the commission formed by Gabriele Costante (University of Perugia) and Nicola Gigante (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano). The commission will evaluate the submitted applications and will select the students that will receive grants, on the basis of the following criteria:
- Quality of the curriculum vitae submitted by the applicant.
- Co-authorship of a contribution accepted in the Doctoral Consortium (please note that only original DC contributions will be considered for this criterion, excluding contributions already accepted in other venues).
- Co-authorship of a contribution accepted at the conference.
- Co-authorship of a contribution accepted at the workshops.
Grant notification will be provided by July or early August 2026.
Important:
- Acknowledgment of Receipt: The selected students must explicitly confirm their participation and acceptance of the grant within 3 days after the notification. Failure to confirm within this timeframe will result in the immediate reallocation of the grant to another candidate.
- Grant Provision: : The grant consists of a discount code of exactly 400 € to be used at the time of registration. It is the responsibility of the student to apply this code during the online registration procedure
- Registration Policy: Applicants must wait for official grant notification and receive their discount code before registering. Reimbursement cannot be guaranteed for registrations completed prior to receiving this notification
